Macau casino concessionaire MGM China Holdings Ltd announced on Thursday a discretionary bonus, equivalent to one month’s salary, for eligible employees. The company said in a press release that the bonus was in “recognition of their dedication and contributions throughout 2025”.
About 97 percent of the group’s employees will be entitled to such a payment, the firm said in the announcement. The bonus “is set to be distributed starting from January 21, 2026,” stated the company.
MGM China runs the MGM Macau resort on the city’s peninsula, and MGM Cotai in Macau’s Cotai district.
Pansy Ho Chiu King, chairperson and executive director of MGM China, was quoted in the release as saying that the group had in 2025 “carried forward” its business by “continuously optimising” the products and services offered to customers.
Ms Ho also said MGM China achieved “steady progress” in its business development last year, “all thanks to the dedication and hard work of our team”.
She added: “We remain dedicated to contributing to Macau’s positioning as a world class tourism and leisure hub through the ongoing introduction of more diversified tourism offerings.”
MGM China was the fourth of Macau’s six casino operators to make a public announcement about the payment of a bonus to its staff for work done during 2025.
