Gibraltar-based online gaming platform provider Odobo Ltd has hired Mat Ingram (pictured), former managing director of interactive at casino and virtual sports games specialist Inspired Gaming Group Ltd. In his new role Mr Ingram will be in charge of strategy for Odobo’s content.

The executive has 20 years of experience in the design, production, management and strategy development of gaming products, Odobo said in a press release on Wednesday.

“Our focus is on quality content and games that stand out in a crowded market. Mat is using his expertise to identify what operators and their customers want, delivering relevant and attractive content that drives player engagement,” Ashley Lang, chief executive of Odobo, said in a statement.

Odobo states it offers the industry’s “first HTML5 developer program and marketplace for the real-money gaming industry”. Its platform currently offers more than 60 games.

Mr Ingram was managing director of interactive products for Inspired Gaming between November 2013 and October 2014, having previously served as managing director of games. He joined Inspired Gaming in 2003, working initially on software development.

“The opportunity to engage with Odobo at this time was hard to resist,” said Mr Ingram in Wednesday’s announcement of his new role.

“Odobo’s sophisticated developer program makes the development of casino games quicker, more cost-effective and accessible for studios of all sizes that are committed to delivering great content,” he added.
