Plaza Macao VIP club takes Tak Chun market tally to 15

Macau casino junket investor Tak Chun Group has confirmed to GGRAsia it now has 15 VIP clubs in the market with the opening on Tuesday of a venue at The Plaza Macao, a casino property promoted by Sands China Ltd at the Four Seasons Hotel Macao (pictured).

According to promotion materials for the firm posted on Chinese-language social media, the new Tak Chun VIP club at The Plaza Macao features 12 gaming tables in four rooms. The junket promoter will have an opening ceremony for the facility on February 25.

Tak Chun additionally confirmed to GGRAsia that the group expected to add to its Macau VIP club tally this year, but it declined to say where.

In November, brokerage JP Morgan Securities (Asia Pacific) Ltd identified Tak Chun as among five junket operators due to launch new VIP clubs at MGM Cotai, the new property of Macau gaming operator MGM China Holdings Ltd. MGM Cotai is opening to public on February 13, and the hotel of the resort complex is receiving its first guests on February 14.

Lei Chi Wai, a director at Tak Chun Group, previously told local media that the firm will develop VIP gaming operations in markets overseas, such as Vietnam and the Philippines.
