Macau casino concessionaire Sands China Ltd says it has honoured more than 1,000 employees celebrating either their 20-year, 15-year, or 10-year service milestone in 2025, thanking them for “their spirit of service and their endeavours throughout the years”.
“The company attributes its stable development and the remarkable achievements of every phase to the professionalism and dedication of its team members serving in various roles,” said the casino firm in a Tuesday press release.
According to the announcement, by the end of 2025, “over 14,000 team members” will have served at Sands China “for 10 years or more, accounting for 50 percent” of the company’s current workforce.
Those with the company for longer than either 15 or 20 years, “number over 6,000 and 2,000, respectively,” it added.
Sands China also said that in the past 20 years, the percentage of Macau residents among the firm’s management team has “soared from 20 percent in 2004 to 91 percent currently”.
The release cited Wilfred Wong, executive vice chairman of Sands China, as saying: “Sands China has over 27,000 team members, and we are proud that more than a half of them have been serving the company for 10 years.
“We are also delighted to see that we still have 2,000 team members who have been growing with us for more than two decades.”
He added: “This is a testament to the strong cohesion between the team and the company, reflecting their confidence in our shared future. As Sands China has developed, so have the capabilities of our team members.
Grant Chum, chief executive and executive director of Sands China, said in prepared remarks that employees “are the driving force of a corporation’s development,” adding that “our long-serving team members have truly been indispensable to our success”.
At the various anniversary ceremonies, Sands China said it presented “trophies, certificates, celebratory set meals, and other special gifts” to the company’s long-serving team members.
