Studio City – Preview

  • Casino resort Studio City, majority-owned by Melco Crown Entertainment Ltd, is to open later this year on Cotai in Macau
  • The Hollywood-inspired, US$3.2-billion property has been designed for 500 live gaming tables
  • Studio City will feature a 130-metre high Ferris wheel, Asia’s highest, nestled between the property’s two hotel towers
  • The Ferris wheel will have 17 cabins, each carrying up to 10 people on a 15-minute ride that will move in a figure-of-eight pattern
  • A 300-seat theatre, designed by American magician Franz Harary, is centrepiece of the resort’s ‘The House of Magic’ shows
  • Studio City will have over 4,000 square metres of indoor event space. Its Grand Ballroom will seat up to 650 per function
