Spintec’s latest Charisma Sic Bo a route to firm’s edge in Asia

Spintec d.o.o. says its electronic games have charisma. In particular they have Charisma Sic Bo, Charisma Roulette, Charisma Craps and Charisma Baccarat. The Charisma platform can be deployed either as a standalone unit, or in a setup of anywhere from four to 12 seats.

The Charisma offer is not the only electronic table game (ETG) product from the brand. There is also for example, Virtual Blackjack, with its high-definition 24-inch screen; and the  Multigame products Karma, a compact-format product; and Aura, the latter in stadium format. The Multigame offers roulette, sic bo, craps, and baccarat in a single product package.

What the products all have, says Goran Sovilj (pictured), Spintec’s global sales director, is high levels of popularity among casino operators and players alike. He was speaking in conversation with GGRAsia.

Spintec has a new version of Charisma Sic Bo that includes what the firm terms a “shooter” button, giving the players a sense of urgency regarding the throwing of the dice.

He noted: “Traditionally, Asian players like the community part… determining who [among them] is ‘lucky’. In this case, it involves who gets to hit the ‘shooter’ button to let the dice be thrown”.

The company’s updated version of Charisma Sic Bo also has a Dragon Jackpot, “an extra feature that includes a three-level, progressive jackpot, which makes the game have more appeal”.

Mr Sovilj said that in Macau, the brand is “holding more than 80 percent of the automated roulette market”. That product is “very well appreciated by all the clients,” playing in that jurisdiction, he stated.

Product “reliability and stability” were vital aspects to the Slovenian brand’s Macau success, and had been confirmed by industry-award recognition, the executive added.

Another key to Spintec’s success is being able to offer “a full package of games features”, as well as side bets, “that are being expanded on a rolling basis,” Mr Sovilj stated.

Special bets, APE partnership

The company plans to launch by the end of this year “Tiger baccarat,” a special bet to be added to its ETG baccarat offer.

As far as Charisma Roulette is concerned, the company is offering a “new feature called ‘Galactic Spin’,” stated the Spintec sales boss. This presents players with the possibility of ‘mega’, ‘major’ and ‘minor’ jackpot bet multipliers “that go up to 300 times your bet, as well as the possibility for players to win free spins, which is something entirely new on ETGs,” he added.

Mr Sovilj observed that Spintec’s roulette with the Galactic Spin feature, enables the theoretical payout to be adjusted from the common 36 times on standard roulette, to 24 times, enabling the funding of the novel payouts.

“We are particularly targeting younger audiences with this feature because one of the main challenges for many casinos is to attract a younger audience… to provide games with higher volatility,” the executive explained.

He added: “We don’t forget about our standard or classical players because those are still in most of the cases the ones that bring most of the revenue.”

In terms of the global development of Spintec’s product portfolio, “a poker game is still missing” from the lineup. “That is expected to come next year,” he added.

Mr Sovilj also observed that in terms of business-to-business processes, the brand’s approach had been “always to work with… local partners”.

In Asia, that is Hong Kong-listed and Macau-based gaming equipment distributor Asia Pioneer Entertainment Ltd (APE). “APE is our key partner in Asia,” including “Southeast Asia,” he noted.
