Veteran gaming machine supplier executive Takashi Maekawa (pictured) has been promoted to president and chief operating officer (COO) of Sega Sammy Creation USA, according to a Thursday social media update from Sega Sammy Creation Inc.
Mr Maekawa served most recently as executive vice president of global sales and business development at Sega Sammy Creation.
“Takashi was one of the first individuals to establish Sega Sammy Creation Inc more than 10 years ago. In addition to his wealth of experience and industry knowledge, his integrity and dedication to this company have played an essential role in Sega Sammy Creation USA’s growth,” said the company in Thursday’s announcement.
Sega Sammy Creation supplies equipment in regulated markets across Asia, and within Nevada, in the United States. The company was founded in June 2013 as part of Japan’s Sega Sammy Group.
The Las Vegas, Nevada, office opened in 2018, according to corporate information.
Sega Sammy Creation’s parent is Japan-based entertainment conglomerate, Sega Sammy Holdings Inc.
