The 305-metre (1,000-foot) tower at the under-construction Wynn Al Marjan casino resort (pictured) in the United Arab Emirates (UAE) “is nearing its full height, with topping-out expected in late November 2025, ahead of the planned spring 2027 opening,” said casino group Wynn Resorts Ltd.
The inflation-adjusted cost of Wynn Al Marjan Island, including land, capitalised interest and fees, has been put at US$5.1 billion, in which Wynn Resorts is a 40-percent equity investor. Wynn Resorts is the parent of Macau casino operator Wynn Macau Ltd.
The project is located in a 60 hectares (148.3 acres) plot on an artificial island in Ras Al Khaimah, part of the UAE federation.
“The tower has now reached the 70th floor, and work on the roof deck is under way,” said the promoter “Progress on the tower’s exterior is advancing at pace, with 19,206 of the 26,247 façade panels installed, representing 73 percent completion.”
Wynn Resorts further noted that across the resort’s low-rise structures, the combined concrete and steel works were “now 97 percent complete”.
It said exterior façades, interior fit-out, and the installation of lifts and escalators were “all progressing steadily”.
The other partners in the Wynn Al Marjan project are Marjan LLC and RAK Hospitality Holding LLC.
A representative of the local investors said recently that the venture could help Ras Al Khaimah draw 3.5-million visitors yearly by 2030.
As per the UAE progress bulletin, Wynn Al Marjan Island will feature 1,530 rooms, suites, townhouses, and what it termed “Marina Estates”.
It stated: “Structural work is now complete for 1,526 of the 1,530” rooms, “representing 99.7 percent progress”.
The accommodation mix will be 1,217 resort rooms and 297 suites, two “Royal Apartments”, four “Garden Townhomes”, and 10 Marina Estates.
The casino group added: “Interior fit-out is also well advanced, with work under way in 1,504 rooms – approximately 98 percent of the total – as mechanical, electrical, and finishing activities continue across the property”.
Among 22 restaurants, lounges, and bars planned for the resort are a French-American steakhouse by French celebrity chef Alain Ducasse, and Delilah, a supper club brand from Wynn Las Vegas, in the Nevada, United States property.
