Macau casino operator Wynn Macau Ltd says it is backing the local government’s “Healthy Macau Blueprint,” and therefore its own staff members’ health, through “a variety of health promotion measures,” including support for healthy lifestyles.
Following what the company said was a “successful collaboration” with Macau’s Health Bureau in 2024 to implement the city’s “Healthy Enterprise Programme,” Wynn Macau Ltd plans to expand the scope of its healthy-workplace commitment this year. That will be done by addressing four major topics: “physical examination, sports, diet, and mental health,” stated the casino firm in a press release.
According to the announcement, Wynn Macau Ltd added a “Body Composition Analysis” screening option for its employees’ self-service health check kiosk.
“Wynn also held relevant promotional activities in the back-of-house areas and has launched the annual ‘Health Screening Rewards Programme’ to encourage team members to prioritise regular self- … screenings and management,” to address disease risk, added the casino concessionaire.
Wynn Macau Ltd also said it is offering “new health services,” including “Talk with a Doctor”, and chronic disease screenings at its in-house clinic.
The company also hosted the “Wynn Sports Month”, and invited the Macau China Citizens Sports Association “to devise personalised fitness plans” for its staff. The group additionally promoted a healthy diet campaign, and hosted two back-of-house roadshows aimed at raising awareness regarding mental health, it said.
“Wynn is actively building a one-stop ‘Healthy Enterprise Programme’ platform to consolidate the ways to build healthy habits, activity updates and healthy tips, with an aim of facilitating team members to achieve their healthy goals,” stated the company.
It added: “Wynn will continue to invest resources and roll out more activities focusing on mental health and wellness, among other aspects of health, to help team members reach a balance between work and overall well-being.”
