Philippines-listed DigiPlus Interactive Corp reported net income of PHP4.20 billion (US$75.7 million) for the opening quarter of 2025, a 110.6-percent increase from the prior-year period.
The company generated revenue of just above PHP23.06 billion in the three months to March 31, up 69.2 percent from a year earlier, according to a Wednesday announcement.
First-quarter earnings before interest, taxation, depreciation, and amortisation (EBITDA) stood at nearly PHP4.59 billion, 117.9-percent higher than in the first three months of 2024.
DigiPlus Interactive is a Philippine holding company with investment in gaming and leisure businesses, including bingo services and a digital sportsbook platform.
In the Philippines the brand runs BingoPlus, described as that country’s first government-approved online bingo platform. It also operates ArenaPlus, a sportsbook; and GameZone, a platform for casual and arcade gaming.
DigiPlus additionally operates – via subsidiaries – a few slot arcades at VIP clubs managed by the Philippine Amusement and Gaming Corp (Pagcor), the country’s regulator-cum-operator.
The improvement in results in first-quarter results “was fueled by the strong performance of its flagship platforms and the contribution of new game offerings across BingoPlus, ArenaPlus, and GameZone,” stated the company.
“The company’s performance was further boosted by reinforcing operational efficiency and enabling more reinvestment in marketing, product innovation and user experience, and rationalisation of Pagcor’s share rate on e-games,” it added.
In January, Pagcor implemented a fresh reduction to the remittance rates for online and on-site betting platforms. The gaming regulator said the fee had been lowered to 30 percent, from 35 percent previously.
DigiPlus said the first quarter of 2025 “marked the third anniversary” of BingoPlus, which now had “over 40 million registered users”.
“Since its launch, BingoPlus has evolved into a full-scale digital entertainment super app, offering bingo, sports betting, and live-streamed games,” said the firm.
Wednesday’s announcement cited DigiPlus chairman, Eusebio Tanco, as saying: “Our performance in the first quarter shows that we are building not just for scale, but for long-term value creation. We continuously invest in technology, talent, and trust – and this is what sets us apart.”
DigiPlus was recently the winner of a Brazil sports betting and online gaming licence, which it will operate via a local unit, DigiPlus Brazil.
Earlier this week, DigiPlus confirmed the “official incorporation” of DigiPlus Global Pte Ltd in Singapore. The new subsidiary “will serve as the company’s international hub, driving its global ambitions through strategic partnerships, talent acquisition, and corporate support,” stated DigiPlus.
DigiPlus posted net income of PHP12.6 billion for full-year 2024, on revenues that rose by 176 percent year-on-year, to PHP75.2 billion.
