Macau casino operator Wynn Macau Ltd announced on Tuesday a 2-percent to 4.5-percent salary increase for eligible staff – excluding senior management – employed at its two Macau properties, Wynn Macau and Wynn Palace. The pay increase will be effective from March 1.
The company said the pay hike would cover 98 percent of its 11,803-strong workforce.
Eligible employees with a monthly salary of MOP16,000 (US$1,992) or below will be awarded a salary increase of MOP500 – equivalent to 3.1-percent to 4.5-percent increase, according to Tuesday’s announcement. Those earning a monthly salary above MOP16,000, are to receive an average of a 2-percent salary hike.
Wynn Macau Ltd was the third of the city’s six casino operators to make a public announcement about a salary increase for 2026, following earlier announcements by Galaxy Entertainment Group Ltd and Sands China Ltd.
Last week, Wynn Macau Ltd announced that it would pay on January 30 a “special allowance” equivalent to one month’s gross salary to its eligible employees, for awarding their work done over the past year. All other five casino operators have also respectively announced a discretionary bonus or special payment, equivalent to one month’s salary, for work done in 2025.
Tuesday’s update cited Wynn Macau Ltd’s president and vice chairman, Linda Chen, as saying: “The company’s success relies on the tireless efforts and dedication of every team member. We hope to share the fruits of our collective achievements through this salary increase.”
Ms Chen added: “This year holds special significance as we celebrate the 20th anniversary of Wynn Macau and the 10th anniversary of Wynn Palace. We look forward to continue our journey together, striving for new heights for Wynn and Macau, and embracing an even brighter future together.”
