Gaming testing and certification specialist Gaming Laboratories International (GLI) said it welcomed about 300 regulators from 16 jurisdictions to its 26th annual Regulators Roundtable, held on April 15 and 16 in Las Vegas, Nevada, in the United States.

The two-day event covered a wide range of topics reflecting current and emerging industry priorities, including artificial intelligence, cyber resilience, cashless gaming, geolocation, lottery modernisation, and sports betting, according to a press release.

Other discussion areas included asset protection, patron protection, prediction markets, risk analysis, and digital responsible gaming interventions.

Keynote speaker Jonathan Fader, a sports performance psychologist and author, addressed attendees on applying performance psychology principles to modern workplace challenges such as constant change, high expectations, and sustained pressure.

Alongside conference sessions and breakout discussions, GLI hosted an “Innovation Tech Hub” featuring live demonstrations from several technology providers.

The announcement cited GLI’s president and chief executive, James Maida, as saying: “It is important for regulators to stay as far ahead of technologies and issues as possible, and that is the purpose of the Regulators Roundtable.”

He added: “We are grateful to the approximately 300 regulators from across North America and around the world who came to Las Vegas to learn more about what’s next and what’s on the horizon in gaming technology.”

GLI also confirmed that the next edition of the Regulators Roundtable is scheduled for April 7-8 next year in Las Vegas.
