Hong Kong-listed China LotSynergy Holdings Ltd says its new sales and management system for the Shanghai welfare lottery in mainland Chian officially started operation last month.
The firm stated in a filing on Thursday that the technology had allowed the lottery operator “to fully realise unified management and data sharing…ensuring that the overall development needs of the Shanghai welfare lottery market are met”.
The company added that the new, unified, sales system allows players to purchase or claim prizes for all Shanghai welfare lottery game varieties at any one point of sale, instead of having a transaction system separate from the betting terminal system with each provided by a separate supplier.
“The new sales management system enables users to purchase and claim prizes for all eight game varieties at all points of sale located in Shanghai,” said China LotSynergy.
“This is another milestone for the group in the lottery sales systems and terminal services area, and is an affirmation of the group’s professional capabilities,” the company additionally stated.
China LotSynergy is also a supplier of video lottery terminals (VLT); computer ticket games and high frequency lottery products.
China LotSynergy posted a net profit of HKD100 million (US$12.9 million) for full-year 2014, up 12.9 percent over the previous year.
