Macau junket operator Tak Chun Group – said by investment analysts to be one of the largest VIP gambling organisers in the city – is to operate a total of 15 VIP gaming tables in six rooms at Wynn Palace, a source has told GGRAsia.

Wynn Palace, Macau’s newest casino resort in Cotai, is due to open on Monday (August 22). The same day, Tak Chun Group will start VIP operations at the property, according to the source.

Wynn Palace will have “50 to 60 VIP gaming tables”, said on Wednesday Steve Wynn, chairman and chief executive of Wynn Macau Ltd, the firm developing the casino resort.

Business news outlet Bloomberg last month reported that Tak Chun Group was planning to operate a VIP room at Studio City, a property majority owned by Melco Crown Entertainment Ltd launched on October last year.

Rival Macau junket operator Suncity Group has confirmed to GGRAsia that it is opening VIP facilities in Wynn Palace, Parisian Macao and Studio City. The junket firm is opening its VIP space at Wynn Palace this Monday, and at Parisian Macao – a venue developed by Sands China Ltd – on September 13, respectively the dates those properties launch to the public.

Suncity Group’s VIP area at Studio City is scheduled to open on August 28, according to the junket operator.

Junket operator Guangdong Group is also launching VIP gaming rooms at Wynn Palace and Parisian Macao, Business Daily newspaper reported on Friday.

GGRAsia contacted Guangdong Group to confirm the firm’s plans for Wynn Palace and Parisian Macao respectively, but the junket operator had not replied by the time the story went online.
