U.S.-based casino equipment and lottery services firm Scientific Games Corp has just launched a new curved, portrait-style slot machine cabinet, called “TwinStar J43” (pictured).
The new cabinet debuted in locations on the Las Vegas Strip, in Nevada, United States, and “will be rolled out globally over the coming months,” the firm said in a press release on Friday. No schedule for the launch of TwinStar J43 in Asia was mentioned.
The slot cabinet – the second in Scientific Games’ TwinStar family – “delivers a portrait monitor presentation with a 43-inch [109-centimetre] J-style curved 4K monitor,” the firm said. It added: “The larger iDeck touch-screen button deck provides enhanced player interaction, and the multi-channel custom sound package with a 5.25-inch subwoofer delivers extraordinary surround sound.”
The TwinStar J43 supports game content from the Bally, Shuffle Master and WMS brands, all owned by Scientific Games.
The new cabinet launched with Asian-themed game title “Dancing Drums”, a follow-on title to Scientific Games’ “88 Fortunes”. Scientific Games said it planned to launch more new titles for TwinStar J43 next year.
“I’m confident that players will be drawn not only to the cabinet, but to the incredible porfolio of games that we are creating to support this pioneering platform,” Derik Mooberry, Scientific Games’ group chief executive of gaming, was quoted as saying in the release.
