Aruze teams with CoD Manila on US$1mln jackpot

Casino equipment suppliers Aruze Gaming America Inc and Aruze Gaming Macau Ltd say they have collaborated with a Philippine gaming venue to launch a starter jackpot worth nearly US$1 million for Aruze slot machine product at the Manila property.

The jackpot valued at PHP50 million (US$958,000) is for Aruze’s ‘Fu Lai Cai Lai’ linked progressive slot machines at City of Dreams Manila, a property operated by Melco Resorts and Entertainment (Philippines) Corp, a unit of casino developer Melco Resorts and Entertainment Ltd.

“Working with Aruze and getting the most out of their latest games and technology allows us to enhance and elevate our customers’ overall experience,” said Kevin Benning, senior vice president and chief operating officer of City of Dreams Manila, in prepared remarks contained in a Tuesday press release about the new jackpot.

Starting a jackpot at PHP50 million showed “a tremendous amount of confidence in our new Muso Triple-27 cabinet and Fu Lai Cai Lai series,” stated Selena Che, sales manager of Aruze Gaming Macau, in comments carried in the written announcement.

“Our Philippines research and development team continues to listen to the Asia-Pacific region and designs games that resonate with players in our markets,” she added.

The Aruze group launched the Muso cabinet in April last year, noting that the platform offered a light display with synchronised patterns in a LED back panel design. The brand described Muso’s ergonomic button deck as an expansive glass table with a new interface design on a 13.3-inch LCD screen.

The Fu Lai Cai Lai series of games was introduced in the Philippines, Malaysia and Cambodia last November. It entered the Macau market earlier this year, according to the gaming equipment brand.
