Slot machine maker Aruze Gaming Global has announced the appointment of Masumi Fujisawa as the company’s chief innovation officer. Mr Fujisawa “recently became a full-time employee” of Aruze Gaming Global “to drive innovation and growth,” stated the company in a Thursday press release.

The announcement said Mr Fujisawa had “set new standards in gaming, delivering top-ranking slot titles that push creative and technical boundaries”.

Described as having “over 15 years of experience” leading research and development (R&D), as well as technological innovation, Mr Fujisawa “has a proven track record in developing groundbreaking gaming content, driving global R&D initiatives, and fostering a culture of excellence”.

According to Aruze Gaming Global, Mr Fujisawa “holds 155 gaming-related patents worldwide”.

The release cited Aruze Gaming Global’s president, Frank Feng, as saying: “Fujisawa and his teams continue to redefine industry excellence, signalling an exciting future for Aruze Gaming Global.”

He added: “Aruze Gaming Global remains committed to delivering world-class gaming experiences that push the industry forward.”

As GGRAsia reported in mid-February, veteran executive Kelcey Allison – who had been appointed Aruze Gaming Global’s chief operating officer during the launch phase of the brand in 2023 – has now left the business.

Mr Allison was most recently the senior vice president of corporate initiatives at the firm.

Betty Zhao, senior vice president of international operations at Aruze Gaming Global, said in recent comments to GGRAsia that the company was aiming for “strong growth” in the Asia Pacific slot sector this year.

During 2024, the supplier had been granted licences by a number of jurisdictions in North America and also in Asia, including in Macau and the Philippines.
