Century Ent estimates new gaming expansion in the Philippines generated 2Q winnings of US$5.7mln

Century Entertainment International Holdings Ltd has estimated pre-tax net winnings of at least HKD45 million (US$5.7 million) from its latest gaming rollout in the Philippines.

The gaming technology firm said the winnings came from its “Phase IV” product deployment and covered the April-to-June 2026 period, after it introduced 27 games across seven gaming venue operators in the country.

In an update on Thursday, Century Entertainment said the winnings estimate, related to its joint venture Konphil Technology Company Ltd, reflected a “ramp-up” in operations.

Trading in Century Entertainment’s shares has been suspended on the Hong Kong Stock Exchange since June 26, 2025, and “will remain suspended until further notice”, the firm said in its latest update.

The company’s Phase IV operations began in April after Konphil Technology entered into a game deployment agreement with World Platinum Technologies Inc (WPT).

According to Century Entertainment’s latest filing, WPT is a Philippine service provider licensed by the Philippine Gaming and Amusement Corp (Pagcor) to “provide electronic gaming machines (EGMs), gaming content, and related services to duly licensed gaming operators in the Philippines”.

Under the agreement between the two sides, “WPT serves as the primary platform provider and maintains all contractual relationships” with the gaming venue operators, while Konphil Technology “provides the technology, game logic and return-to-player-ratio algorithms” that power the games.

WPT and Konphil Technology have in place a revenue-sharing deal, with the latter firm entitled to “85 percent of net winning Income.”

The seven participating gaming venue operators in the latest game deployment are located in Parañaque, Calamba in Laguna, Bulacan, and Nueva Ecija.

Century Entertainment said all seven venues were operational and contributing revenue to the joint venture.

The company said it plans to double the number of deployed games by December.

Century Entertainment also said that, through its wholly-owned Hong Kong subsidiary NobleMind Technology Ltd, it had been invited by a Philippine partner to acquire a 5 percent to 10 percent interest in a “new Pagcor-licensed entity”.

Due diligence is under way, with completion expected next month, the company added.

Century Entertainment did not disclose the area of operation of the licensed entity.

Last April, Century Entertainment announced that Ng Man Sun, a veteran of Macao’s VIP gaming industry, had returned to the helm of the company after being appointed chairman and executive director.
