The 2017 edition of the Macao Gaming Show is scheduled for November 14 to 16, the organiser announced on Thursday. The coming version of the regional casino industry trade exhibition and conference will be held at the Venetian Macao casino resort, on Cotai as have previous editions.
“MGS has established itself as a traditional November event [in what is] a key buying and networking window for the Asian industry,” said the Macau Gaming Equipment Manufacturers Association (MGEMA), organiser of the Macao Gaming Show, in the release.
“The show has set its sights on giving the vitally important emerging Asian market a key place on the calendar,” MGEMA added. The promoter noted that the show’s scheduling between Global Gaming Expo (G2E) in Las Vegas in the early autumn and the International Casino Exhibition (ICE) in London after New Year, “keeps the international business community focused on global developments”.
Visitor attendance for the 2016 edition of the Macao Gaming Show – which ran from November 15 to 17 – stood at 14,847, the highest in the four-year history of the event, according to figures from the organiser.
In Thursday’s release, the organiser of the Macao Gaming Show said it would be working “more closely” with relevant government departments in future editions of the trade show.
“This investment in governmental partnerships is key to our positioning: over the next few years, it will be these relationships that will enable both MGS and its exhibitors to maximise their returns from the technological, manufacturing and services opportunities that the diversifying economies in our region will be delivering,” said MGEMA.
